To further our enjoyment of global and cultural education there is the Scottish Festival at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in the early fall, St Patricks Day festivities in Dublin in March, and the 4th of July Parade in Danville. After celebrating Cinco de Mayo in May, there are ZUMBA exercise classes available at most health clubs in the San Ramon Valley for a little Latin flavor.
There are so many cultures to celebrate, it is impossible to name them all here. The world is indeed getting smaller (think about the “It’s a Small World” ride in Disneyland. ) Thanks to advances in technology and the minds that keep it all going. So why not enjoy what our diverse community has to offer? We are all proud of our traditions, and culture and food, and are happy to share them with others. Now doesn’t that want to make you take a Falafel Sandwich, wrap it around a Lumpia, and dip it in a nice curry sauce with a side of rice, beans and California Rolls? Then celebrate with a great Texan line dance! Now that’s diversity! There are societies and clubs representing many cultures to be found all over this area. To experience other parts of the world, we don’t have to go too far from the San Ramon Valley!
