Fall brings more reasons to visit the Library. Especially since there is “Jazz at the Library” On Friday evenings at 8 PM in September and October, come enjoy some jazz, featuring amazing vocalists and ensembles! Plus there is dessert available for sale by local merchants, with proceeds from tickets and dessert helping to fund the San Ramon Library Jazz Collection. Purchase tickets at the Library. The San Ramon Library has a wide variety of classes and groups. From book groups to genealogy, to knitting, to poetry. Stop by the library today, and check out the multiple possibilities! Central Park is hosting “Art in the Park” on October 5 & 6. Come wander among 80+ booths of fine art. There will be live music, children’s activities, along with food and beverages. Bollinger Canyon Rd at Alcosta.
San Ramon has three art galleries – the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery at the San Ramon Community Center, the Dougherty Station Community Center Art Gallery, and the San Ramon Library Art Gallery.
Don’t forget about the annual Primos Run for Education. Sunday October 13. A 5K race starts at Iron Horse Middle School, or ½ marathon starts in Danville at corner of Diablo Road and Hartz Blvd. Visit www.srvef.org/the-run for more information.
Come celebrate Oktoberfest September 28 at the Forest Home Farms Historic Park, located at 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd. This event features food, music, and beer from the newest San Ramon brewery, Shubros. Shubros Brewery is located at 12893 Alcosta Blvd.
San Ramon is brimming with music and culture – check out sanramonperformingarts.com. There are live musical performances, symphonic performances, films, a community chorus, even improv events. There will be a symphonic band performing “Americans We” on October 11, and Rick Springfield will be performing on October 26th!
Cars & Coffee with the Blackhawk Automotive Museum takes place Sunday September 1 at 8 AM. A chance for auto enthusiasts to check out some locally owned cars. Blackhawk Plaza near Anthropologie. Then, put your dancing shoes on for Argentine Tango & Milonga, Sunday September 1 at 2:30 pm in the Rotunda, Blackhawk Plaza. Beginner and Intermediate Classes 2-3:30pm – Milonga 3:30-8pm. Live music and DJ music. Event supported jointly by Blackhawk Tango and Bay Area Tango Association. Crow Canyon Road at Tassajara.
