2020 East Bay Real Estate Market Recap
With low interest rates and minimal inventory, the 2020 East Bay real estate market still continued to be a sellers’ market generating multiple offers and over asking sold price for most listings. Home values increased by 9.925% over the last year even with fewer homes sold. Of the 24,411 sold homes, 22.58% were in the price range $1,000,000 to $1,499,000 comprising the most sold price category. Meanwhile days on market (DOM) time decreased by 21% with average listings selling in just 23 days.
Most industry expert and analysts predict that 2020 real estate trends will continue throughout 2021. Low inventory and all time low interest rates will continue drive up home buyers’ demands.
