San Ramon Weekend Wonderings
For many, by the time Friday rolls around, we are exhausted from our work week and ready to relax and unplug. The weekend often promises a variety of chores and errands and events: Laundry, housework, yard work, sports events for the kids, the list go on and on. Occasionally though, there is some free time, and a desire to go out and do something local. Here are a few ideas if you are in and around San Ramon during the weekend:
How about a Garage Sale? This is a fun way to take a drive, and experience different streets and neighborhoods, plus meet new people. The City of San Ramon has a link that shows the addresses and offerings of garage sales happening this weekend. Go to: www.sanramon.ca.gov/plan/images/gsale.pdf
Try a Farmers Market! There are a few of them close by. Why not see what’s in season, or try something new from local vendors. Some of them even have live music! The Farmers Markets listed here are from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, and happen year-round! The San Ramon Farmers Market is located at 2680 Bishop Drive at Bishop Ranch 2. The Danville Farmers Market is located at Prospect & Railroad Avenue in downtown Danville. The Pleasanton Farmers Market is located at Main & W. Angela Streets in downtown Pleasanton.

Catch a movie! Get out of the sun and escape for awhile! There are a handful theatres close by. Even an IMAX in Dublin! Go to fandango.com for current showings and theatre addresses.
Take the family to the park. San Ramon has a large number of parks with family in mind. Central Park located at Bollinger Canyon Road and Alcosta Blvd has a playground, picnic areas, sports fields and even a water feature for when the weather is nice. (This weekend for instance) In neighboring Danville there is Osage Park again with a playground, water feature, picnic areas and plenty of grassy areas for play. It is located at 816 Brookside Drive.
The San Ramon Valley has plenty of things to do and see during your free weekend hours, only a few have we’ve mentioned here. So start planning your weekend fun and relaxation. That is, once all those chores and errands are done…
